A leading authority on corporate responsibility, sustainability, and social equity, Jeffrey co-founded Seventh Generation more than twenty-five years ago. He built the fledgling company into a leading natural product brand with sales of over $150 million known for its authenticity, transparency, and progressive business practices.

Jeffrey is Adjunct Professor of corporate sustainability and social entrepreneurship at New York University and his passion for the environment and corporate responsibility is evident in each of his seven books, including “The Responsibility Revolution: How the Next Generation of Businesses Will Win” (2012) and his most recent, “Planet Home: Conscious Choices for Cleaning & Greening the World You Care About Most.”

Jeffrey is also the former Chair and a current member of the Greenpeace US Board of Directors as well as co-founder and Board Chair of the American Sustainable Business Council, a coalition of 200,000 business leaders committed to progressive public policy. He is also on the Boards of Practice Green Health, Health Care Without Harm, and Verité, a leading workers’ rights organization.
