Laurence Kimball-Cook is founder and CEO of Pavegen, an innovative technology company that generates electricity from footsteps. He founded pavegen shortly after graduating in Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University in 2009. Since then Pavegen has scaled across the world, installing the technology in over 30 countries including France, Germany, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, South Korea and parts of North America.
He has partnered with the likes of serial solar entrepreneur Akon, football legend and global innovator Will.I.Am to promote his clean-tech vision. He has also worked with the world’s largest companies including Shell, Adidas, Coco-Cola, Samsung, Sunglass Hut, Lexus, Schneider Electric, Kia Motors, Formula E and Europe’s largest shopping centre - Westfield.
Having completed 5 TED talks globally and attended trade missions in China and Italy with PM David Cameron, Laurence is well-renowned as a thought leader with technology and entrepreneurship. He also participated in the UN’s +20 Climate Conference, Innovate UK, Naffed Leadership conference, DMZ 2.0 in South Korea and the All-Energy Australia Conference as part of Australia’s Sustainability Week.
